Cook Time: 10 minutes

Temperature: 400 degrees Fahrenheit

Servings: 10 falafel

Ingredients:

1- 15 oz can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained

4 cloves garlic

1/4 cup red onion, chopped

2 tbs extra-virgin olive oil

1 tbs tahini

1/2 tsp himalayan salt

2 tsp cumin

1/4-1/2 cup fresh parsley, packed

3 tbs brown rice flour

Tahini Sauce Ingredients:

2 tbs tahini

1 1/2 tbs fresh lemon juice

1/2 tbs maple syrup

1/4 tsp himalayan salt

1 tbs hot water*

Directions:

Step 1 - Combine all ingredients except for brown rice flour into a food processor. Pulse until pureéd, while still leaving some texture and chunkiness.

Step 2 - Add brown rice flour into food processor and process until mixture is well-combined, while still leaving a bit of texture. Scrape down the sides of container if necessary.

Step 4 - Set your air-fryer to 400 degrees and cook for 10 minutes. Allow to cool for five minutes prior to serving.

Step 5 - Make your tahini sauce by whisking together all of the ingredients in a small bowl or glass.

Step 6 - Serve falafel on their own, on top of a salad, in a wrap, or served in purple cabbage leaves with tahini sauce, hummus, and your favorite vegetables as imaged.

* Adding water may or may not be necessary depending on the consistency of your tahini. Some tahini will come out of the container smoother and runnier, while others are thicker. Keep hot water on the side and use it where you feel necessary in achieving the consistency that you like. Keep in mind if you are making this ahead of time it will also thicken slightly in the refrigerator.
